Pallet manufacturing process

Injection-molded pallets are typically manufactured from low-pressure, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) in a single-stage injection molding process. Their raw material costs are lower than those of blow-molded pallets, and they are currently widely used in the domestic market. Injection molding is suitable for producing pallets with complex shapes and high rigidity requirements, particularly for large-scale production runs. However, the process entails high mold costs and significant capital investment. Flash formation is minimal, requiring little post-processing of the finished product. The molding cycle is short-typically around three minutes-resulting in products with precise dimensions and high surface quality.

Key parameters to consider in the injection molding process for pallets include: 1) clamping force; 2) shot size (injection volume); 3) injection pressure; 4) plasticizing capacity and time; 5) cycle time; and 6) mold design (hot-runner molds should be used to reduce clamping force requirements and enhance product quality).
